By enrolling your child at SSB Dance Center, you are entrusting a very special part of his or her education to us. Our staff is well educated and highly trained in the art of dancing and skilled in the virtue of patience required of every good teacher. We work extremely hard to be worthy of this trust.
Our objective is to provide quality instruction in the art of dance on an individual basis, with the student's personal achievement level as our focal point. Emphasis is placed on the development of coordination, poise, confidence, technique, and physical and mental discipline. Dancing should be an enjoyable experience for all who participate.

Our Teachers
SHERRI BARNHART
Sherri Barnhart, owner and full time instructor, a native Wichitan, former WFHS cheerleader, Miss Howdy, Class Beauty and Lonestar in backdoor theater production of Anything Goes in 1980. Choreographed Iowa Park show choir for three years in the late 80's, choreographed Guys and Dolls musical at First United Methodist church in the 90's, established SSB Dance Center in 1986. Certified Red Cross Swim Instructor.
COURTNEY BRANCH
Courtney Wingo Branch a former student and SSB Strutter for years, is Assistant Director. She graduated from Burkburnett High School where she was captain of the Boomtown Babes. Courtney is the director of the Boomtown Babes now. While attending TJC she was a dance captain for the Tyler Apache Belles and has taught the Strutters with choreography and instruction for years. Married and has four children.
ALLISON STEWARD
Allison Steward began ballet at age six at The Dance Shop in Florida. One of her favorite roles was being Cinderella’s Step-sister. She fell in love with teaching ballet while working at Camp Dovewood during college. She is married to Eb, and they have five children. In 2021 the whole family performed in The Nutcracker. Allison began teaching Classical Ballet at SSB Dance Center in 2023.
JUDE STEWARD
Jude Steward is a homeschool high school student. She has been dancing since age three. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and baking, reading old books, writing letters to pen pals, sewing, thrifting, playing traditional Texas style and Celtic music on the fiddle, and jamming with friends. Her favorite ballet is A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and her favorite step is a tour jete. Jude has been an assistant teacher at SSB Dance Center since 2023.
HOLLY PEREZ
Hi! My name is Holly Perez and I am on the Boomtown Babes Dance Team. I enjoy dancing, the color pink, and even more dancing. I have been taking dance lessons at SSB for 14 years. I love teaching at SSB and spreading my love for dance to everyone.
FRANCES BLANK
Frances Blank is a high school homeschool student. She has been dancing since age four. She enjoys spending her free time with friends and making up dances. Her favorite ballet is The Nutcracker, and her favorite step is a pirouette. Frances has been an assistant teacher at SSB Dance Center since 2025.
